    How Long Does It Take To Be Accepted?
    Once we receive your completed application, you will be contacted for an interview. Following the interview, intake normally takes place within 7-10 days. The sooner you complete the application, the better.

    Do I have to interview in person?
    We prefer the interview to be done on campus so we can get to know each other better. If time and distance prohibit this, we can conduct the interview over the phone.

    What if I can't afford it?
    We ask each resident to recruit a sponsor that will help with finances. His Oaks is a non-profit ministry. We have seen how God meets the needs of men who trust Him. We will help you find the necessary funds to participate.

    How long is the program?
    His Oaks is a 12 month residential ministry. Some men do complete sooner, but you should be willing to stay the course if you are considering application.

    Can I hold a job while involved with His Oaks?
    As you process through the program, we will help you find a job. Integrating back into the workforce is one of our goals for you. However, residents are not permitted to work during the first 90 days.

    Can someone be placed against their will?
    No. We are interested in helping those who are self-motivated to see transformation in their lives. If an applicant is not willing to cooperate fully, they need not apply.

    Can I visit family while in the program?
    Following the initial 30 days, residents are permitted and encouraged to go on home visits. The length of these visits are determined by the resident's progress.

    Can I detox at your facility?
    No, we are not medically equipped for you to detox here. We ask that all participants be detoxed before entering the program. We can help you find a detox facility, if necessary.
